Accountant - in Pune, India
For more than 90 years, VetterTec, headquartered in Kassel, Germany, has been developing and manufacturing machines and systems for industrial drying and dewatering, primarily for the food industry. As a world-wide operating company, we generate more than 80% of our
sales abroad. The key to our success is our team of over 150 employees at six locations.
To strengthen our team in Pune, India, we are looking for an Accountant
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out the monthly and year-end closing work
- Support in the preparation of the published annual financial statements
- Preparation of monthly and annual reports for central departments such as Consolidation,Treasury and Finance and annual group reporting
- Holistic responsibility of tax topics (e.g. coordination with auditors, tax related reporting, VAT)
- Close cooperation with the central functions as contact person for accounting issues
- Formally checking invoices and comparing them with the order
- Posting outgoing and incoming invoices; Processing of all payment transactions; Dunning; Accounts Receivable reporting and collection
- Develop a Schedule of Values and Pay Applications per contract terms with Project Managers; assist in developing, reviewing, and transferring project budgets; Administrating sales tax processes pertinent to assigned projects; Projects forecasting report support and analysis
- Conduct final job audits and commitment closeouts
- Facilitate the bond process, bank guarantee & credit facility
- Handle job cost review and reclassification
- Investigate project variances and works with the project team to reclass to address the issue
- Managing production quantity tracking
- Performing Earned Value Analysis and reporting
- Analyzing the data and reports out to operation and construction management
- Preparation and possible improvement of internal departmental reports and various projects
Your Profile:
- At least 6+ years of professional experience in accounting and further training as an accountant or successfully completed studies in the field of economics or commerce with a focus on accounting or comparable
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations of India Ability to interpret financial reporting and to understand project schedules
- Good expertise of custom related work- duties payable, foreign currency payment
- GST filling and its handling knowledge is must
- Entry-level understanding of Earned Value Analysis is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Intermediate Excel knowledge, including pivot tables
- Experience with Tally software, ERP, or Reporting Systems is a plus
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of leaders
- Good ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills and reliability
- Functional competencies include attention to detail, prioritization, communication, system thinking, and self-knowledge & self-learning
- Structured, solution- and goal-oriented way of working with a willingness to familiarize yourself with new tasks
